The CWIC Quality and Governance Project started during 2008 and will continue until March 2011. This project is funded by Capacity Builders and the lead body for this project is Voluntary Action Coventry (VAC).

This project will create a step change in the quality and accessibility of services to front line Voluntary and Community groups in Coventry and Warwickshire.

The project will directly support groups to implement Quality Assurance Systems and Governance Standards in order to have effective and strong Trustee/ Committee Boards and ensure that Good Management is central to their ethos and work.  This will be achieved through training and focused events, Good Practice Resources and group support work.

VAC is responsible for delivery of services in Coventry and overseeing delivery in Warwickshire. The delivery agents in Warwickshire are shown in the following list:

• Warwickshire Community and Voluntary Action (WCAVA)
• Warwickshire Association of Youth Clubs (WAYC)
• Warwickshire Children and Voluntary Youth Services (WCVYS)
• Warwickshire Clubs for Young People (WCYP)
• Coventry, Solihull and Warwickshire Sport (CSW Sport)
• Warwickshire Rural Community Council (WRCC)
• Voluntary Action Stratford on Avon District (VASA)

Quality and Governance Celebration Event

Warwickshire CAVA, on behalf of the CWIC Quality and Governance Project, held a celebration event at the CentralVision Studio in Coventry to reward Volunteers and Voluntary Groups for their hard work and dedication to Quality and Governance.
